Make a difference with Tony
My name is Tony Madanga. I live in Kenya and have been working at Christ's Hope since 2010. I started there as a part-time bookkeeper when I studied accountancy. I then planned to work somewhere after my studies where I could earn more.
However, working with the vulnerable children brought back memories from my own childhood. For me as a child, good nutrition and education were not always obvious. I wanted to give back to my environment and through Christ's Hope that was possible. That's why I stayed with Christ's Hope and because of the growth the organization has experienced, I've been working there full-time since graduating in 2012. Since April 2019 I am CFO (chief financial officer) at Christ's Hope International.
My wife and I both know the struggles that children in our environment face. That is why we wanted to adopt a child after we got married in 2017. When it turned out that there were two orphaned boys looking for adoptive parents, we adopted them both. They are now five and ten years old. We also have a daughter and we support a sponsor child in Uganda through Christ's Hope.
I partly depend on donations for my income. In order to support my family, I am looking for sponsors who want to support me with a monthly contribution.
