August 21st, 2021’s Ride For Hope Sacramento was filled with excitement, fun, and so much generosity! We had over 100 cyclists ride for hope with us and raised over $24,100 for Christ’s Hope! It was so encouraging to see how a bike ride can have such a HUGE impact for children in Africa!
There were so many great stories from the Ride For Hope Sacramento, but here are four that stand out:
1. Tim Paton, Ride For Hope Founder, and his 7-year-old grandson rode 11.4 miles together – highlight of the year for both of them!
2. A young lady accomplished her goal of riding 30-miles before her 40th birthday (which was the very next day!) She was so excited and her husband and kids were so proud of her. Happy birthday!
3. The band – Danger Force 5 – was so amazing, they had everybody dancing! AND they gave their tip money to Christ’s Hope – wow!
4. Because of all the fires in our area, the air quality has been unhealthy at best. Not to mention temperatures in the 100’s. On the morning of the ride, winds came up out of the south, clearing out the smoke and bringing temperatures in the mid to upper 80’s. A blessing and miracle from above!
