Meet Justine!
Justine is a bright and kind 14-year-old boy from Tanzania with big dreams and even bigger potential—but he needs help to reach it.
He lives in a small, rented home with his parents, two younger sisters, and a younger brother. The family shares one bedroom and a small sitting area, with no electricity or running water. Justine’s mother, who sells fish around town, is the sole provider—and despite her hard work, meeting the family’s basic needs is a daily struggle.
Even in the face of these challenges, Justine steps up. He helps cook, fetch water, and wash dishes. He’s eager to learn, loves soccer, and lights up when listening to Bible stories—especially the story of King David and Joshua 1:9.
Justine dreams of becoming a lawyer one day—to stand up for what is right and bring justice to others. But without consistent support, access to education and the resources he needs to grow are out of reach.
By sponsoring Justine, you can help provide the stability, encouragement, and opportunity he needs to pursue his dreams and thrive.
Let’s make sure this bright future isn’t out of reach.

How to Pray for Justine!
- Please pray for the safety of Justine and his family. Pray that they would all know and love God.
- Please pray that God will provide the basic needs that Justine and his family need daily.
- Pray that Justine will do well in school so he can have a bright future as a lawyer.
- Lastly, please pray that Justine will be sponsored and that he will be given hope through sponsorship. Pray that God would bring the right sponsor for him and that they would have a strong and lasting relationship.
A Bit About Tanzania!
Justine lives in Mwanza, Tanzania, a bustling city in East Africa often called the “Rock City” for its stunning rocky landscapes. It’s nestled along the shores of Lake Victoria and is the second-largest city in Tanzania, with over 1.1 million residents. Fishing is a cornerstone of life here, thanks to the lake’s abundance, but job opportunities can be unpredictable and often don’t provide enough to make ends meet.
Mwanza’s tropical savanna climate is warm and inviting, with temperatures hovering around 75°F year-round. The wet season runs from May to October, bringing lush greenery to the area. Despite its natural beauty, life in Mwanza comes with challenges. Many families live in “squatter settlements” — single-room homes made of brick, mud, and corrugated metal that often lack water and electricity. The city’s growing population has led to rising housing costs, increased crime, and more children left vulnerable on the streets.
Still, Mwanza’s people remain resourceful and hopeful. Sponsoring a child like Justine helps to provide stability and opportunities in a place where they’re desperately needed. Together, we can make a lasting impact in his life and his community.
